Mullaloo benefits from playground boost

Mullaloo Heights Primary School has been selected as one of 58 public primary schools across Western Australia to receive up to $20,000 towards new playground equipment.
Education Minister Peter Collier today announced the schools would share in $1million funding this year for new playgrounds and shade sails. Each school will receive up to $20,000.
“We want children to get moving and have fun during breaks at school - and encourage them to develop lifelong healthy physical activity habits,” he said.
“Funding will allow these schools to plan and build playgrounds, including nature playgrounds where children can get their hands dirty and enjoy the tactile experiences of being outside.”
Ocean Reef MLA Albert Jacob said the funding would be of great benefit to the school.
“Mullaloo Heights Primary School is a popular and valuable primary school in our community and I am proud of the government’s role in making this school even better.”
