More funding to help protect our coast

25 June 2015

Albert Jacob has welcomed $21,252 from the State Government towards a coastal monitoring project with the City of Joondalup, as part of the government’s latest round of coastal protection grants.

Albert said the funding would help in both investigating and protecting our coastline.

“The coastline is one of our State’s most valuable assets and a significant part of the Ocean Reef electorate.

“These grants create an important partnership between State and local government in working to protect it into the future," he said.

The projects will create a better understanding of coastal processes and ensure public coastal assets are protected from the impacts of ocean forces.
